Ladla Bhai Yojana: Maharashtra Govt To Give Rs 6,000 To 12th Students, Rs 10,000 To Graduates

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' to provide financial assistance to male students.

The Maharashtra government introduced a special scheme called 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' to provide financial assistance to male students. This scheme is for those who have passed the 12th grade. Under this scheme, students who have completed their 12th grade will receive Rs 6,000 per month. Additionally, students holding a diploma will receive Rs 8,000 per month, while those who have completed their graduation will get Rs 10,000 per month.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced this scheme today in Pandharpur, a move seen in the context of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections later this year. It is suggested that the government made this announcement to appeal to various segments of the population just months before the elections.

This initiative by the Maharashtra government aims to address the economic challenges faced by students and graduates. The scheme seeks to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with education and early career development, enabling students to focus more on their studies and professional growth.

Uddhav Thackeray recently brought attention to the issue of youth unemployment in Maharashtra. During a media briefing after a legislative session, he stressed the need for a scheme dedicated to boys in Maharashtra, similar to the Ladli Behen scheme implemented in Madhya Pradesh.

Thackeray said that in today's society, there should be no distinction between boys and girls when it comes to benefits from government schemes. He argued that both genders should receive equal support and opportunities.

In response to this demand and the ongoing issue of youth unemployment, the Shinde government has introduced the Ladla Bhai Yojana.

Notably, before Ladla Bhai Yojana, the government introduced the Ladli Behna Yojana. Ladli Behna Yojana is designed to provide monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 to married, divorced, and destitute women aged 21-60. Subsequently, the age limit was extended to 65 years, following an announcement by Chief Minister Shinde.
