UPSC Recruitment 2021: Commission Defers Process To Fill 363 Vacancies For Principles

The decision regarding deferment of the recruitment process was taken due to worsening covid-19 situation in the country.

In the wake of the ongoing pandemic, several exams have been cancelled, and one such notification from the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has deferred the recruitment process initiated to fill 363 vacancies for the post of principal in the Directorate of Education, Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Earlier on April 24,  an indicative advertisement (No.7/2021), inviting online applications to fill the vacancies for direct recruitment by selection through website upsconline.nic.in was posted in the Employment News. Also Read:

Advertisement No. 07/2021, Vacancy No. 21040701324 advertised/notified in the 'Employment News' on 24.04.2021, is deferred. It would be re-published in due course," reads an official notification issued on the UPSC website.

A total of 363 vacancies are available in the Directorate of Education, Education Department. Out of the total, 208 vacancies are for male candidates while 155 positions are to be filled for females.

Interested candidates are suggested to keep a track of the UPSC website regularly for updates about this recruitment process. Once the recruitment process is notified again, then eligible and interested candidates can apply online through online mode.

Earlier, the UPSC postponed EPFO 2021 exam scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 2021, till further notice. The Commission decided to postpone the exam considering it is not possible to conduct exams in view of the students' health and lockdown restrictions across the nation.
