SSC Recruitment 2024: Registrations For Over 2,000 Vacancies Underway On ssc.gov.in, Apply By March 18

The shortlisting of candidates for the SSC Recruitment 2024 shall be done based on a written exam followed by skill tests as required for specific posts.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the registration process for SSC Recruitment 2024 for various posts. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to participate in the recruitment can submit their applications online on the official website - ssc.gov.in. Notably, the SSC is conducting the recruitment drive to fill a total of 2,069 vacancies for various posts like in the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. 

The last date to apply for the recruitment drive is March 18, 2024. Following the closure of the online application window, registered candidates will also be able to make changes to their applications from March 22 to March 24, 2024, where candidates will be able to make changes to their respective applications more than once. However, while making changes to applications for the first time, candidates will be required to pay a fee of Rs 200, and for the second time, candidates will be required to pay a correction fee of Rs 500.

Among the total number of vacancies on offer through the recruitment, 255 vacancies are to be filled by SC (Scheduled Caste), 124 by ST (Scheduled Tribe), 436 by OBC (Other Backward Classes), 186 by EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and 1,028 by Unreserved category candidates. Moreover, while applying for the recruitment, candidates will also be required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. 

The shortlisting of candidates for the recruitment shall be done based on their performance in the online written examination followed by Skill Tests like Typing/ Data Entry/ Computer Proficiency Test, etc, as applicable. The online written examination shall consist of a total 100 questions with 25 questions each in four sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and English Language (Basic Knowledge). The total marks for the exam shall be 200 and candidates will be given a maximum time limit of 60 minutes to answer all questions.
