The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the online application process for the SSC GD Constable 2024 today, December 31, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to participate in the recruitment drive but are yet to submit their applications for the same can register online on the official website - ssc.nic.in. However, registered candidates will be able to pay their application fee for the recruitment process till January 1, 2024. Once the application window for the SSC GD Constable 2024 closes, candidates will also be able to edit/ make changes to their online applications from January 4 to January 6, 2024. 

SSC GD Constable 2024 Vacancies

Notably, the SSC is conducting the GD Constable recruitment drive 2024 to fill a total of 26,146 vacancies for the post of GD  in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR). However, candidates may note that the vacancies under this recruitment are tentative and are likely to change, as necessitated by the commission. 

SSC GD Constable 2024 Selection Process

The shortlisting of candidates for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 shall be done through a multi-stage selection process which would include: Computer Based Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination and Document Verification. 

SSC GD Constable 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those who have completed their Class 10th from a recognised board, and are aged between 18-23 years, as of January 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024. As per the official notification, the SSC will conduct the SSC GD Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 sometime in February-March 2024. The commission shall notify the exact dates of the examination in due course of time. The computer based exam shall be held in 13 different regional languages besides Hindi and English.
