RPSC Cancels RO, EO Exam Due To Paper Leak; Rescheduled For March 23

The RPSC has canceled the Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV Examination due to an alleged paper leak.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced the cancellation of the Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV Examination due to a breach of confidentiality during the test. The exam was initially conducted on May 14, 2023, to fill 111 senior positions. 196,483 candidates were competing for the 111 posts. Following the exam, only 311 candidates were deemed eligible after an eligibility check and document verification, as reported by news agency PTI.

Reports indicate that cheating incidents occurred at examination centers in Bikaner, leading to three FIRs being filed on the day of the test. These FIRs and their challan reports reveal that cheating was facilitated through advanced electronic devices. In response to the complaints received, the Commission contacted the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on June 12 for further investigation.

On August 2-8, the RPSC re-examined the documents of several candidates who appeared suspicious during the verification process and subsequently prepared an inquiry note, which was sent to the Additional Director General of the ATS and SOG. The ATS and SOG reported serious findings concerning the examination's confidentiality. As a result, several individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

Given these developments, the Commission concluded that there was a significant lack of integrity at some examination centers during the test. Following the investigation of three cases linked to candidates using Bluetooth devices for cheating, it became evident that the examination's confidentiality was compromised. Consequently, the RPSC has decided to cancel the Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV (Local Self Government Department) Competitive Examination, 2022, and plans to conduct the examination again for all candidates who applied.

Originally set for March 23, 2025, this examination will now take place on May 17, 2025.

"The Revenue Officer Grade II and Executive Officer Class IV Examination, 2022 (Autonomous Governance Department) conducted on 14.05.2023 has been cancelled by the Commission. The said examination is now proposed to be held on 23.03.2025.
