NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Live Updates: The Supreme Court has deferred the hearing on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024 case. In the plea, Aspirants raised concerns regarding last-minute changes to the exam pattern and a lack of transparency in the results process. The hearing, initially scheduled for October 4, was postponed due to the absence of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, who was to preside over the case. In a prior September hearing, a bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra called the decision to alter the exam pattern just three days before the exam "unusual." The court had then issued notices to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and the Centre, asking them to respond within a week, after considering the petitioners' arguments.

Lakhs of candidates are anxiously awaiting the release of the NEET PG counselling schedule, which has been delayed. Even doctors have urged the Health Minister to instruct the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to expedite the release of the schedule and speed up the admission process. 

The MCC will conduct counselling for AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. The delay has impacted over 10 lakh candidates, causing uncertainty and potentially leading to further delays in the academic session.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling Eligibility & More

Only candidates who qualify for NEET PG by meeting the minimum cut-off percentile are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. The NEET PG counselling process includes online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment results, and reporting.

To participate in counselling, candidates must register online and declare their choices. Registration can be completed on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. During registration, candidates need to log in using their email ID and mobile number, then fill out the application form.

Candidates can declare multiple choices based on their preferred colleges and courses. It is important to save and lock these choices before the deadline, as there will be no option to change them afterward. Choices will be automatically locked after the final date.
