Punjab Police Recruitment 2023: Notification for the SI and Constable posts will be released on the official website of Punjab Police at punjabpolice.gov.in.

The Punjab Police is expected to release the advertisement/notification for 2,100 Constable, SI posts in January 2023. Earlier this month, the state cabinet approved the recruitment of 8,400 personnel - 1,200 SIs and 7,200 constables in the Punjab Police over the next 4 years. These include 1,200 sub-inspector and 7,200 constable posts, according to a statement released by the state government. The government will recruit 1,800 constables and 300 SIs in Punjab Police every year to meet the shortage of staff because of their retirement in the coming years.

Advertisement for Punjab Police Recruitment Exam is expected next month on the official website of Punjab Police at punjabpolice.gov.in. According to official information, the written test for these posts will be held in May-June, the physical test in September, and the results will be declared in November. Around 2.5 lakh candidates are expected to apply for 2,100 posts every year. For more details, candidates are advised to keep checking the recruitment portal of the Punjab Police regularly.

Bihar Govt Approves Over 75,000 Policemen Vacancies

To create a streak of 10 lakh new job opportunities in the state, the Bihar Government has announced over 75,000 vacancies in the Bihar Police Department. The Bihar Cabinet on December 20, approved the recruitment of a total of 75, 543 personnel under Bihar Police, under various categories. The development is seen as the effort made by the state government to fulfill its promise of creating 10 lakh new jobs in the state. 

The move also comes against the backdrop of the Bihar Government's bid to increase the number of police personnel in the state to meet the needs of the state’s growing population. Notably, at the closing ceremony of the “Police Week” on February 27, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his wish to increase the number of policemen in Bihar from 165 to 170 per lakh of the population.
