The Indian Army has opened fresh vacancies for National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry Scheme 49th course (April 2021) for Short Service Commission (SSC). The Indian Army published the recruitment notification for both eligible male and female candidates who are unmarried. Indian Army NCC 49 Special Entry Scheme Notification It is also worth mentioning that candidates can appear for only one of the interviews of the Services Selection Board (SSB). They can appear for any of the following: SSC (NT)-113 Course (Apr 2021)q SSC (NT) (Women)-27 Course (Apr 2021) as CDSE candidate NCC (Special) Entry-49 Course (Apr 2021). Probation Period After his/her commission into the service, an officer will be on probation for six months. If he/she is reported on within the probationary period as unsuitable to retain his/her commission, his/her services may be terminated any time whether before or after the expiry of the probationary period. READ | HPBOSE Exams 2021: Himachal Pradesh To Conduct Class 10, 12 Board Exams From May 4, Practicals To Begin From April 15 Educational Qualification and other Criteria For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders: Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50 per cent marks taking into account marks of all the years.  Those studying in the final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively. Such students will need to secure an overall aggregate of minimum 50 per cent marks in the degree course if selected in an interview, failing which their candidature will be canceled. Service in NCC: Should have served for a minimum of three academic years (from 22 Feb 2013 to onwards till date)/two years (23 May 2008 till 21 Feb 2013) in the senior Division/Wing of NCC. Grading Candidates should have obtained a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’. Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants, who are not holding NCC ‘C’. Certificate on date of application, are not eligible to apply for the course. For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel: Eligibility Criteria: The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of battle casualties specified as: -
  • -Killed in action.
  • -Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).
  • -Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).
  • -Missing.
  • -Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50 per cent marks taking into account marks of all the years.
  • -NCC ‘C’ certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.
Selection Process for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Shortlisting of Applications Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email SSB Interview Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centers, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (PB). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only. Candidates will be put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available on the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting i.e., www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Medical Exam Candidates who get recommended after Stage II shall be called for Medical Exam Merit List The candidates who pass the medical test will be issued a joining letter on the basis of merit
