JKBOSE 10th, 12th Exam 2025 To Begin On February 15, Check Passing Marks

JKBOSE has announced the exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12 for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) has announced the exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12 for the 2024-25 academic year. According to the notification, the exams for both classes will begin on February 15, 2025, and conclude by the end of March 2025.

"For students in classes 10th to 12th, the academic session will return to the November-December schedule starting from the 2025-26 academic year. For the current academic year, the J&K Board of School Education aims to conduct the exams for classes 10th to 12th from February 15, 2025, and complete them by the end of March 2025," reads the official notification.

For classes 1 to 9, the board will revert to the November-December session for the 2024-25 academic year, with exams scheduled for November-December 2024. The board will soon release the detailed date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 exams, which will include the subject-wise schedule, exam timings, and important instructions for candidates.

Students can download the JKBOSE Class 10, 12 date sheet 2025 from the official website, jkbose.nic.in.

JKBOSE Class 10, 12 Exams 2025: Passing Criteria

  • Theory Exam: Students must score at least 33% in the theory portion of each subject to pass. For example, if the theory component is out of 100 marks, a minimum score of 33 is required to pass.

  • Practical Exam (if applicable): For subjects that include practical exams, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science, students must also score at least 33% in the practical component. For instance, if the practical exam is out of 30 marks, a student needs at least 10 marks to pass.

  • Overall Passing Criteria: To pass a subject overall, students need a combined score of 33% across both theory and practical components. For example, if a subject has 70 marks for theory and 30 for practicals (totaling 100 marks), a student must achieve at least 33 marks in total to pass.
