JEE Main 2019 Category Correction Window Re-Opens at jeemain.nic.in

Candidates who had appeared for JEE (Main) January / April 2019 are eligible to choose their actual Category status in the online application form submitted by them at the time of registration.

JEE Main 2019 Category Correction: The National Testing Agency has opened the Category Correction window on the official website for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2019 – jeemain.nic.in. Candidates can choose their correct category in the form from General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS. The JEE Main 2019 category correction window will be live till Wednesday, 17^th April 2019, 5pm. Candidates who had appeared for JEE (Main) January / April 2019 are eligible to choose their actual Category status in the online application form submitted by them at the time of registration. NTA had earlier opened the EWS Category Application window from 11^th to  15^th March 2019, after MHRD’s decision on extending reservation to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates in central institutes of higher education. Candidates must utilize this opportunity to correct their category status in order to steer clear of any repercussions later due to wrong selection of the category. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clearly mentioned in the notification that no further chance for category correction will be given. “Since, it is a last time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them, the concerned Candidates are informed to undertake correction in their Category Column(wherever necessary) very carefully as no further chance will be given,” read the notice released by NTA for Category Correction facility.
