IIT Kanpur Launches New eMasters Programme, Invites Applications For Various Courses

Besides launching four new eMasters degree programmes, IIT Kanpur has also started inviting applications for its various programmes.

The Indian Institute Of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has launched new eMasters degree programmes. The premier institute of engineering and technology has launched new eMasters degree programmes in Climate Finance and Sustainability, Renewable Energy and e-Mobility, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Business Leadership in the Digital Age. The institution has said that while the new climate finance and sustainability programme will dive deeper into financial strategies and sustainable initiatives, the renewable energy and e-mobility programme will look forward to supporting and contributing to the evolving alternative energy sector. 

The artificial intelligence and machine learning on the other hand aims at preparing professors in line with the continuously evolving sector, while the business leadership in the digital age programme is targetted towards upskilling professionals in modern business dynamics, the institution further said. 

“The programmes are designed for executives and these do not require a GATE score for admission. The programs offer a flexible completion timeframe of one to three years, catering to diverse schedules,” IIT Kanpur was reported as saying by news agency PTI. 

Each of the programmes consist of 60 credits and 12-module curriculum drafted in line with the needs of the industry. Furthermore, students will also be able to benefit from the credit transfer feature that would potentially waive off 60 credits for those seeking further higher education programmes like M.Tech, PhD at IIT Kanpur. Students enrolled in the distinct eMasters programmes at IIT Kanpur shall be awarded senate-approved eMasters degrees at the convocation, rather than diplomas or certificates.

Besides introducing new eMasters programmes though, the IIT Kanpur has also started inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for admissions into ints programmes in data science and business analytics, financial technology and management, business finance, financial analysis, public policy, next generation wireless technologies, cyber security, power sector regulation, economics, and management.
