IIT Delhi, though, did not divulge details on the highest package, average package offered to students, etc so as to not jeopardize national placements over international ones, as well as to reduce peer pressure amongst students of various groups.

IIT Delhi Placements 2019: The placement drive at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi this year broke the varsity’s own records of the past one decade. With students getting over 900 job offers, the IIT Delhi campus displayed high spirit in the past week. Like the past trend, students of core disciplines viz Electrical, Chemical, Civil And Mechanical, took 32% of the pie, while students of Information Technology bagged 20% of the total offers made overall. Other popular streams that got the rest of the offers were Analytics, Management, Finance, Consulting, Research and Teaching, etc. A total of 160 pre-placement offers were made to students giving an opportunity to work as an Intern before getting a full-time placement offer, out of which 90 were accepted. IIT Delhi, though, did not divulge details on the highest package, average package offered to students, etc so as to not jeopardize national placements over international ones, as well as to reduce peer pressure amongst students of various groups. The record breaking jobs galore can be credited to a 15% rise in the number of institutions visiting IIT, Delhi this year. “The efforts of the entire placement team, comprising staff, student coordinators and volunteers, coupled with the positive reaction from industry this year, has translated into these robust hiring numbers” stated Anishya Madan, Industry Liaison Officer (T&P), IIT Delhi.
