IIM CAT 2023 Notification Released - Applications Begin August 2, Exam On November 26

IIM Lucknow has released the CAT 2023 Notification today. Online applications for the exam will begin from August 2, while the CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26.

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has released the CAT 2023 notification today. Interested and eligible candidates looking up to appear for the Common Aptitude Test 2023 can check the CAT 2023 Notification on the official website - iimcat.ac.in. 

As per the official notification, candidates will be able to register for the CAT 2023 Exam from August 2 onwards. The last date to apply for the CAT 2023 Exam is September 13, 2023, till 05:00 PM. Admit cards for the CAT 2023 Exam will be available for download on the official website from October 25 – November 26, 2023. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26, 2023. 

While applying for the CAT 2023 Exam, candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD categories will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,200. Candidates from all other categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,400. Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%  (45% for SC, ST, and PWD candidates) marks are eligible to apply for the CAT Exam. 

The CAT 2023 Exam will be held in the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. The exam will be held at centres in 155 cities across the country. At the time of submitting applications, candidates will be able to select as many as 6 test cities in order of their preference. 

The CAT 2023 Exam Pattern remains the same as its previous 2022 iteration. The Exam paper will have a mix of MCQs and Non-MCQ questions spread across three major sections: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Ability (QA), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR). The total time allotted for the examination for candidates to answer all the questions will be two hours. 

Notably, the CAT (Common Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance test aimed at shortlisting suitable candidates for admissions into postgraduate management programs offered by premier management institutions across the like the IIMs. Other ace B-Schools also accept CAT Scorecards for management admissions.
