DU Admissions 2019: Delhi University to start enrollments soon at du.ac.in; all you need to know
The University of Delhi is expected to begin the admissions process for academic year 2019-20 on 27th May 2019, next week.
DU Admissions 2019: The University of Delhi is expected to begin the admissions process for academic year 2019-20 on 27th May 2019, next week. Usually, the country’s most sorted varsity commences its application process for undergraduate courses in the third week of May. However, this year the process has got delayed and even in the last week of May, there’s no official confirmation from Delhi University.
The delay in releasing the online application forms by Delhi University could be due to CBSE’s pending revaluation results. CBSE will be accepting applications for revaluation of Class 12th results today and tomorrow. The Board is expected to expedite the revaluation process and release its results soon.
The Delhi University is likely to release the cut-off date for admissions upon completion of revaluation process by CBSE. Candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses in the Delhi University must keep a tab on its official website – du.ac.in, to stay abreast with the admissions process.
Meanwhile, students must keep the following documents ready as the same will be required to successfully submit their application forms online.
Documents required for DU Admissions 2019:
Self-attested copy of Class X Passing Certificate
Self-attested copy of Class XII Marksheet
Self-attested copy of Caste or Special Category Certificate (if applicable)
Self-attested copy of Income Certificate for OBC non-creamy layer (if applicable)
Self-attested copy of Sports or ECA (Extra Curricular Activities) Certificates (if applicable)
Scanned copy of applicant’s signature
Scanned copy of applicant’s recent passport size photograph
DU Admissions Process 2019:
Delhi University admissions for undergraduate courses are either merit-based or entrance exam based. The varsity releases cut-off list for merit-based admissions and rank-lists for entrance-based admissions. For merit-based admissions, candidates who meet the cut-off are required to undergo Verification of Documents and get Approval of Admission. Upon getting the approval, students need to pay the Admission Fee via their Login on DU’s undergraduate admissions portal. Candidates must note that they are required pay the admission fee till 12 noon of the last day of that cut-off in which s/he is taking admission.
DU Open Days 2019:
The University of Delhi organizes ‘Open Days’ for parents and students to apprise them of the DU Admissions process. Last year, the varsity had organized the event from 21 st to 29 th May 2018 in two sessions viz 10 am to 11:30 am and 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the Delhi University Conference Centre in North Campus.
The Postgraduate (PG) and M.Phil & PhD admissions in Delhi University will begin after the commencement of Undergraduate (UG) admissions 2019.
