Schools To Reopen In Delhi From Nursery To Class Eight. Focus On Mental And Emotional Health Of Children

Delhi School Reopen: Classes from nursery to class VIII will start in Delhi from February 14. Preparations have been going on regarding this in schools.

Delhi School Reopen: The Delhi government has decided to re-start physical classes for students of nursery to class eighth. The decision has been taken in view of the declining Corona cases in the capital.

After the Covid-19 situation in the country's capital has become better, the education system is gradually coming back on track. Classes from 9th to 12th have started in Delhi from February 7, following which classes from nursery to the eighth standard will also start from Monday i.e. February 14. Preparations have been going on regarding this in schools. Several instructions have also been issued.

According to information provided by the Delhi government's Directorate of Education, school heads of classes from nursery to class eighth standard have been instructed to work on the children's mental and emotional well-being through various activities for the next 2 weeks after the schools reopen.

As small children have been the most affected by the closure of schools in the last 2 years, many important things will be taken care of in the first two weeks.

Mindfulness and happiness class to be run

Most importantly, mindfulness and happiness classes will be started to lessen the impact of stress and fear on children and connect them back to studies. Mission Fundamental activities will be introduced to bridge the learning gap that can be seen in basic reading and math skills in young children. Along with this, the students will be given a chance to share their experiences about the conditions they have faced due to the closure of schools due to Covid.

The first 2 weeks will be dedicated to revise previous worksheet.

With the help of one-on-one interaction, the teacher will work to connect emotionally with every child. Teachers will understand the learning needs of children through one-on-one assessment. At the same time, instead of starting a new topic, revision of previous worksheet will be undertaken for the first 2 weeks. After a long time, when the classes from nursery to eighth standard start a conducive atmosphere for learning will be created in order to connect with studies, instead of rushing into it.
