Delhi Minister Appeals To DU VC for UG Admission Deadline Extension, Requests Seat Allocation Details

Minister Raaj Kumar Anand appeals to Delhi University VC Prof. Yogesh Singh for UG admission deadline extension in a letter.

Minister for Social Welfare & SC/ST, Raaj Kumar Anand has penned a letter addressed to Prof. Yogesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi. In this letter, the Minister extends an appeal for an extension of the admission deadline for the undergraduate (UG) program. The request for an extension is made to ensure that all admissions under the reserved category can be duly concluded, as per the news agency ANI.

Furthermore, Minister Raaj Kumar Anand has also requested comprehensive information pertaining to the total number of undergraduate program seats available at the University of Delhi. This includes details on the allocation of these seats, specifying how many are designated for general category students as well as those reserved for students from various reserved categories.

DU Special Spot Round 2023 Schedule Released

Delhi University has released the schedule for the DU Special Spot Round 2023. According to this schedule, the registration process for the special spot round of undergraduate admissions will kick off on September 18, 2023, starting at 5 PM. On the very same date and time, the available vacant seats will also be made visible to prospective applicants. This timely release of information allows students to actively participate in the special spot round and vie for these remaining admission opportunities.

Here's the schedule for the Delhi University Special Spot Admission Round 2023:

  • Declaration of vacant seats for SPECIAL SPOT ADMISSION ROUND: Monday, 18 September 2023, at 5:00 P.M.

  • Candidates can apply for SPECIAL SPOT ADMISSION ROUND: From Monday, 18 September 2023, at 5:00 P.M. to Wednesday, 20 September 2023, at 4:59 P.M.

  • Declaration of Special Spot Allocation: Thursday, 21 September 2023, at 10:00 A.M.

  • Candidates should "Accept" the Allocated seat: From Thursday, 21 September 2023, at 10:00 A.M. to Friday, 22 September 2023, at 4:59 P.M.

  • Colleges will verify and approve the online applications: From Thursday, 21 September 2023, at 10:00 A.M. to Saturday, 23 September 2023, at 4:59 P.M.

  • Last date for online payment of admission fees by the Candidates: Until Sunday, 24 September 2023, at 4:59 P.
