CUET UG 2024 Registration Process To Begin Soon: Check Key Details Here
The NTA is slated to conduct the CUET UG 2024 Exam from May 15 to May 31, 2024.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to start the registration process for the CUET UG 2024 Exam soon. Once the registration process begins, interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit their CUET UG 2024 registration cum application forms on the official website. Earlier on Sunday, UGC (University Grants Commission) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said that the registration process for the CUET UG 2024 Exam shall begin either by evening today (February 26) or from day after tomorrow (February 27).
While the online registration cum application process for the CUET UG 2024 Exam is about to start shortly, the dates of the premier central university entrance exam for undergraduate programmes have already been announced. As per the official announcement, the CUET IG 2024 Exams will be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024. Candidates may note that similar to its previous iterations, the CUET UG 2204 Exam will be held in the online CBT (Computer Based Test) mode in various slots. The CUET UG 2024 Exam will be conducted in 13 languages; English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
CUET UG 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for CUET UG 2024 Exam, candidates must have passed any one of the following qualifying exams:
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
- In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
The CUET UG Exam is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) every year to shortlist suitable candidates for admission into various undergraduate degree programmes offered by several central universities across the country. However, since every central university has different eligibility criteria depending upon a specific programme of choice, interested candidates are advised to duly check the detailed eligibility criteria for the specific programme in their desired central university of choice, before applying for the CUET UG 2024 Exam.
