Chhattisgarh: CM Bhupesh Baghel To Inaugurate 8,152 Renovated School Buildings Today

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will also distribute 1,500 appointment letters to newly appointed teachers in the state.

Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate 8,152 newly renovated school buildings in the state today. Besides the inauguration, the Chief Minister will hand over 1,500 appointment letters to newly appointed teachers in the state. The CMO Chhattisgarh announced the inauguration ceremony and distribution of appointment letters through X (formerly Twitter) today. “On the occasion of Teacher's Day, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate 8152 renovated school buildings. Mr. Baghel will also hand over appointment letters to 1500 newly appointed teachers,” reads an official post from CMO Chhattisgarh on X. 

Notably, earlier in December last year, the Chhattisgarh government pushed on revamping the school infrastructure in the state. The revamping scheme also included hostels, ashrams and other government b buildings like Collectorate, Sub-Divisional and Tehsil offices, Police Stations and Police Outposts. Back last year, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel stressed upon repairing and upgrading school buildings before the next academic season. In the past few months, the Chhattisgarh government has launched school renovation programmes in different phases across the state.

Notably, the inauguration of school buildings and distribution of appointment letters to newly appointed teachers in the state, comes on the occasion of National Teachers’ Day 2023. Earlier today, the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education organised a function to confer National Teachers’ Award 2023 to 75 selected educators by President Droupadi Murmu. Earlier on September 4, 2023, yesterday, PM Modi also interacted with the 75 teachers selected for the National Teachers’s Award 2023, at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. 

“Met our nation's exemplary educators who have been honoured with the National Teachers' Awards. Their dedication to shaping young minds and their unwavering commitment to excellence in education is very inspiring. In their classrooms, they are scripting a brighter future for India's youth,” PM Modi said through his official handle on X (formerly Twitter), after the meeting, sharing some images from the interaction.
