1. Time to Break-Up:
Looking at the whole syllabus can give jitters to even the brightest students. It is crucial to break-up the syllabus subject wise, topic-wise, weightage-wise.
2. Prioritize
Take help from your teachers, coaches, seniors, siblings or past papers to figure out which topics are the most important. Prioritize those topics that have been repeatedly incorporated in the past board exams.
3. One Thing at a Time:
Set daily targets and cover one topic at a time. Go through the entire chapter, make key notes for each topic that you could refer while revising during the preparatory holidays in between your board exams.
4. Focus on Concepts
Make every effort to build a clear understanding of concepts. Understand the basic mechanics of each topic rather than trying to mug it up.
5. Revise
Understand that revisiting chapters is much more important than mugging them in the first place. The science of synapsing is at work when you revise, as your brain strengthens your memory wires and you are able to retain the topic well.
6. Express
After each topic, become your own boss and explain the chapter as if you are a teacher. It is a smart way to synapse as well as find out where you stand.
7. Past Papers
Past ten-year question papers, HOTS, revision station must be attempted as soon as you cover a topic. Spare 30 minutes each day for attempting question/answers. Keep a weekly 3 hour slot to attempt past papers for each subject to build your speed and get familiar with the exam pattern.
All the Best!
