CBSE Class 12 History Paper Review: The Humanities students of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools appeared for the History examination today i.e. Monday, 25th March 2019. Though the paper was lengthy, the students acknowledged that the history paper was easy and set from the prescribed NCERT class 12th textbook. As per experts, there’s no shortcut to examinations for subjects like history. One must go through the events of the chronicles in order to answer them during examination time. And today’s paper was no different, students who had thoroughly read the class 12th history syllabus, found the paper direct and nothing was reported out of syllabus. Some questions were described as tricky by the students, however, subject experts are of the view that even a below average student can easily pass today’s class 12th history exam. The internal choices were balanced so students could attempt at least one of the options. The students complained of not getting enough time to revise their answers at the end. CBSE Class 12 History Exam Pattern: The class 12th history paper is divided into five parts viz: Part A - 3 very short answer type questions carrying 2 marks each – total marks 6 Part B - 6 short answer type questions carrying 4 marks each – total marks 24 Part C - 3 long answer type questions carrying 8 marks each – total marks 24 Part D - 3 three source based questions carrying 7 marks each – total marks 21 Part E - 1 map based question divided in two parts carrying 2 and 3 marks respectively – total marks 5 Total Questions 16 – Total Marks 80
