Revise, Pause & Repeat! 5 Tips To Kickstart Preparations For CBSE Board Exams 2021

The Class 10 and 12 exams will be conducted from May 4, 2021 to June 10, 2021. The results are tentatively planned to be announced by July 15, 2021.

CBSE Board Exams for theory subjects for Class 10 and Class 12 will officially begin in less than three months’ time. The Class 10 and 12 exams will be conducted from May 4, 2021 to June 10, 2021. Schools have been allowed to conduct practical exams for both classes from March 1, 2021, till the last date for conducting theory exams. The results are tentatively planned to be announced by July 15, 2021.

The CBSE board exams 2021 will not be conducted in online mode due to the logistics and basic requirements involved. The exams will be conducted on a subsidised syllabus as 30 percent of the total syllabus was reduced for Class 10 and Class 12 exams. Besides this, there will be 33 percent internal choices in the exam.

Here are few tips that’ll help you ace your Board Exams and score high:

Practice Past Papers

Solve at least two past papers during the day. It’ll hone your writing speed, focus and time management skills, besides making you figure out which topics still need revision. You’ll also get an idea of 1-mark questions that have generally come in the past, and you’ll be better prepared and won’t waste time on attempting them.

Check Marking Scheme

Go through the CBSE’s marking scheme guideline once. The marking scheme and exam pattern has also seen a change this time. Students are advised to take a look at the sample papers to understand the new pattern by visiting the official website - cbseacademic.nic.in. Students should be thorough with the syllabus to know the names of topics and chapters prescribed by the board for the upcoming board exam.

One Chapter A Day!

Make sure you read through one chapter each day for each subject and clear your last-minute doubts. This exercise will ensure that everything is up to date in your mind and you do not miss out on the basics.

Key Notes

Create Key Notes from your NCERT books to review them during the preparation days that you will get between the CBSE Board Examinations. While creating Key Notes, you must ensure that your handwriting is clear and notes are precise.

Revise, Pause & Repeat!

Pause or tiny breaks in between your Revision plan are important to let your brain assimilate the information you’ve gathered in the past hour or two. This pause has to be a complete shut-down for your brain and could be of as less as 5 minutes to 15 minutes span.
