CBSE Board Exam 2021 Exam: Know the Changes In Exam Patterns, Marking Scheme For Class X, XII

CBSE Exam Updates: In a run up to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)  examination 2021, the board has released sample question papers for Classes X and XII to offer students a glimpse of questions for the examination. It is being observed that weightage for MCQs has been increased by 10 per cent, as per the Times of India report. The intention behind the change in pattern is likely aimed at testing students' ability to comprehend. Also Read: CBSE Class 12 Practical Exam Dates: Board Announces Tentative Dates Of Exam, Know What Are The New SOPs With a view to help students cope with the examination in a pandemic time, the board has reduced the syllabus for class 10th and 12th by 30 per cent because of which at least 4-5 chapters have been reduced in every subject. Now, children will have less syllabus to cover and the changes shall kick in from this session. There will be more stress on questions based on case studies. Students can view the sample papers on its official website and going through the sample paper can help them understand the marking pattern easily. This will be followed with a pre-board examinations and revision tests which will offer a better idea about the latest sample paper released by the board. Also, in case of Class 12 English question paper you will find that about 50 percent of questions are multiple-choice questions whereas in Class 12 Economics question paper 2021 there are 20 multiple choice questions in which Assertion & Reason based questions are also expected. According to the CBSE, subjects that carry 70 and 80 marks, students need to secure a minimum 23 and 26 marks, respectively to pass the subject including the practical examination which will carry 30 marks. Students will also be marked for internal assessment of 20 marks for class 10th and 12th; for which a student need to secure minimum 6 marks to clear it. In the latest announcement, the board has released the tentative dates for the class XII practical exam. As per the notification, the practical examinations will be held from January 1 to February 8.
