Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani: Union Ministers Laud PM Modi's Leadership Over NEP 2020

The Central government on Wednesday announced the decisions made under the 'New Education Policy 2020'. Several Union Ministers, on Twitter, welcomed the leap.

New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several union ministers have taken to Twitter to laud PM Narendra Modi's leadership over the announcement of  New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). ALSO READ | Union Cabinet Announces New Education Policy; Focus On '21st Century Skills', Technology & More The decisions and reforms planned under New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) were announced on Wednesday by the union cabinet. Soon after the press briefing addressed by Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare, the cabinet ministers of the central government praised the new steps towards transforming the state of Indian education. Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, "A truly remarkable day in the history of Indian education system! Under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji, Union Cabinet today approved 'New Education Policy 2020' for the 21st century. This brings in much needed historic reforms in both School & Higher Education". In a series of tweets, he talked about the most notable aspects of the new system and concluded by thanking PM Modi and Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted in Hindi. His congratulatory message translates to, "The new education policy was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi. With this new policy, the goal of making significant reforms in the world of education has been set. For this major step, I congratulate the Prime Minister and Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank". Union Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development Smriti Irani, wrote, "Grateful to PM Narendra Modi Ji & Cabinet for approving National Education Policy 2020 - a transformative restructuring of Education in India encompassing every stage of learning from early education to higher education with greater emphasis on technology & digitisation". Irani has also previously headed the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2014, which has now officially been titled the Ministry of Education. She also wrote about several aspects of the new policy like Gender Inclusion Fund, National Curricular & Pedagogical Framework and more. BJP President JP Nadda called the announcement a "momentous day for India". "The National Education Policy 2020 brings much-awaited reforms & regulatory framework which caters the need of a 21st century New India and unleash our children & youth's energy for a self-reliant better India," he added. Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken to Twitter to "wholeheartedly welcome the approval of the National Education Policy 2020". He concluded the tweets about the remarkable points of the New Education Policy by writing, "Framing of NEP 2020 will be remembered as a shining example of participative governance. I thank all those who have worked hard in the formulation of the NEP 2020. May education brighten our nation and lead it to prosperity".
