As per the fire department officials, five individuals, including the young girl, were transported to the hospital for treatment as they inhaled a lot of smoke prior to being rescued. The fire department dispatched around 20 fire tenders to the scene, however, only eight were able to reach the location due to traffic congestion and narrow lanes.
In another incident last month, a fire broke out in an apartment in Ghaziabad. Two people were trapped on the upper floors when the incident took place, however, they were rescued soon after. The incident happened at DLF Ankur Vihar's MM Road and fire tenders were immediately deployed to the site. No deaths were reported in the matter and the fire was doused successfully.
