A man from Delhi died after he felt uneasy during a water park ride in Noida's GIP mall.
A 25-year-old man died after falling ill while taking a water park ride in a Noida mall, said the police on Monday. Dhananjay Maheshwari (25) visited the water park in The Great India Place mall in Noida's Sector 38-A, under the limits of Sector 39 police station, with four of his friends Anshul Gupta, Raghav Gupta, Sagar Gupta, and Piyush Lamba who were taking a ride at the water park.
As he came down a slide, Dhananjay felt uneasy after which he took rest and two of his friends stayed back with him.
As he did not get relief after taking rest, he was taken to a private hospital in an ambulance where the doctors declared him dead, said a police official.
"We are getting the post mortem examination done to ascertain the cause of death," the police official said, adding that more information about the deceased is being asked from his relatives.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased alleged that there were injury mark on Dhananjay's leg and waist. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Manish Kumar Mishra said that the police investigation is being carried out keeping all the aspects in mind.
The family also alleged that Dhananjay did not recieve first aid on time and the ambulance carrying him to the hospital did not have oxygen support system.
"He had gone to a waterpark in Noida along with his friends. One of his friends called us at 2 pm and informed us that he passed away," Dhananjay's sister told news agency PTI.
"We later found out that he did not receive first aid on time and the ambulance carrying him did not have oxygen support. If he had received oxygen on time, then this would not have happened,” she added.
