Delhi Metro Extends Services Till 12:15 Am For DC vs RCB WPL 2024 Final

The Delhi Gate Metro Station is the nearest to the Arun Jaitley Stadium which will host the WPL 2024 final between DC and RCB.

With the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 final set to be played between Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday (March 17), the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has extended its timing for train operations. The decision was conveyed by DMRC through an announcement on its official social media handle.

"To facilitate smooth movement of spectators after the conclusion of the Women's Premier League Final tonight at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Metro service from the adjacent Delhi Gate station (on Violet Line) shall be available till 0015 hrs past midnight," DMRC announced in a post on X.

"Services will be made available till terminal stations on all the lines. However, depending on the conclusion of the match, the timings may be further modified. The Delhi Metro also wishes the @DelhiCapitals team all the very best for the final," it said in another tweet.

DC vs RCB WPL 2024 Final To Get Underway At 07:30 PM (IST)

As far as the summit clash is concerned, the first ball of the match is slated to be bowled at 07:30 opm (IST) with the toss scheduled to happen at 07:00 pm (IST). This is the second straight entry into the final for DC who finished as the runners-up last year. On the other hand, it is a remarkable comeback for RCB already, having finished fourth on the table last edition. Neither franchises have tasted victories in the Indian Premier League (IPL) either despite competing in it since its inaugural edition in 2008. IPL 2024 will kickstrart on March 22.
