Delhi MCD Election 2022: Civic polls are scheduled in Delhi on December 4 to elect 250 councillors of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Votes will be counted and results will be declared on December 7.
MCD Election 2022 Live: Delhi State Election Commissioner (SEC) Vijay Dev on November 4 announced dates for the long-due Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. Delhi State Election Commission announced that voting for unified three municipal corporations - East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation - into one MCD will be held on December 4. Counting of the votes will be held on December 7 and the results will be announced the same day.

In the Chandni Chowk Delhi assembly constituency, there are a total of three wards to go under poll in the 2022 MCD election. The names of the three wards of the Chandni Chowk assembly constituency are Civil Lines, Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid.
1. Civil Lines: In the Chandni Chowk Delhi assembly constituency, Civil Lines is ward number seventy-three in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 55,142. The Civil Lines (Ward 73) MCD seat is reserved for Schedule Caste.
2. Chandni Chowk: In the Chandni Chowk Delhi assembly constituency, Chandni Chowk is ward number seventy-four in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 51,672. The Chandni Chowk (Ward 74) MCD seat is unreserved.
