Following the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, AAP leaders and workers launched protests against the action taken by the probe agency.
Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Friday sent CM Arvind Kejriwal to six days ED remand in Liquor policy case. He will stay in ED custody till March 28. The order was pronouncd by Special CBI judge Kaveri Baweja. The Delhi CM was arrested by the probe agency on Thursday after the ED questioned him for over two hours in the excise policy-linked money-laundering case. Following the arrest of the AAP convenor, several party leaders and workers of the party launched protests against the action taken by the probe agency.
Speaking to reporters, Kejriwal's lawyer Madan Lal said, "ED was asking for a 10-day remand. They said that to trace the money trail, a custodial investigation is necessary. Considering all aspects, the judge gave a 6-day custodial remand. He will be presented here again on 28 March. ED argued that the money used for the Goa elections was ill-gotten. They said they have statements of some witnesses which prove this fact."

AAP MLAs and councillors reached Kejriwal's residence in Civil Lines to meet his family on Friday and claimed that his family members have been placed under house arrest.

- Kejriwal's lawyer Madan Lal said that no material/evidence to show wrongdoing in excise policy formulation or receipt of proceeds by Delhi CM Kejriwal.
- AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak said that the family members of the Delhi CM are not being allowed to meet anyone and they have been placed under house arrest. "We have come here to meet his family. They are not being allowed to meet anyone. They have been placed under house arrest. Nobody knows what state they are in."
- AAP MLAs, including Jarnail Singh and Raaj Kumar Anand, and Delhi mayor Shelly Oberoi were among those present outside Kejriwal's residence.
- In Haryana's Kurukshetra, AAP workers staged a demonstration near the residence of Chief Minister Saini. As AAP workers tried to gherao the CM's residence by breaching the barricades set up there, police lathicharged them and used water cannons to stop them.
- At the protest site in Punjab's Mohali, AAP workers said some of them were injured when water cannon was used. According to PTI, Sukhjinder Singh, AAP worker from Patti in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, said he had sustained an injury in his left eye.

- On Friday, the ED produced Kejriwal in the Rouse Avenue court in the national capital and sought his 10-day custody in an excise policy-linked money laundering case. "My life is dedicated to the service of the nation whether I am inside or outside (jail)," Kejriwal said while he was being produced in the court.
- The Aam Aadmi Party has called his arrest a "political conspiracy" to stop him from campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls. The party called for a nationwide protest against the BJP in the aftermath of his arrest.
