I.N.D.I.A. Bloc's Support Rally For Kejriwal In Delhi's Ramlila Maidan Gets Nod From EC, Police
The EC and the Delhi Police have granted permission to the leaders of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc to hold a rally at the Ramlila Maidan in the national capital against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.
Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: The Election Commission and the Delhi Police have granted permission to the opposition I.N.D.I.A. Bloc to hold a rally at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The rally is set to take place on March 31.
According to Aam Aadmi Party sources, the slogan of the rally will be ‘Tanasahi Hatao, Loktantra Bachao’ (Remove dictatorship, save democracy). The sources further said that Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, and Uddhav Thackeray will be present during the rally.
The meeting will also witness the presence of Shiv Sena (UBT faction) leader Aditya Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Derek O'Brien, Thiruchi Siva, Farooq Abdullah, Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren, Sitaram Yechury, D. Raja, Deepankar Bhattacharya, and Devarajan (Forward Block) will be the speakers.

The sources further stated that leaders, including Mehbooba Mufti are yet to give confirmation. The Delhi Police has permitted the gathering of 20 thousand people for the rally. On Friday, AAP leader Gopal Rai said that the call on whether Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal will address the 'Maharally' will be taken later, as reported by news agency PTI.
Other prominent political leaders and members of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) like Derek O'Brian, Trichi Siva, Farooq Abdullah and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren will also attend the rally, he said. He further stated that Kalpana Soren, the wife of former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, who is currently in jail, will also attend the rally, he said.
Meanwhile, Sunita Kejriwal released a video statement, launching "Kejriwal ko Aashirvaad" drive and a helpline number. In the video, she announced the launch of a WhatsApp number where people can send their messages to Delhi CM. Through the WhatsApp number supporters can send messages to the AAP chief, who has been in jail since his arrest last week in the liquor policy case.
