'Happened In Heat Of The Moment': Aftab Tells Court, Remand Extended By 4 Days

Shraddha Murder Case: The remand of murder accused Aftab has been increased by four days.

New Delhi: As the Delhi Police investigates the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walkar, the remand of murder accused Aftab has been increased by four days by the Saket court on the demand of the police. Aftab had been in Police custody for the last 5 days. During the hearing, Aftab told the court that the incident "happpened in the heat of the moment" and that he is having "difficulty in recalling the incident."

Meanwhile, sources told ABP News that Aftab has been misleading the investigation by giving different responses when asked about the location where he threw the weapon used to kill Shraddha and the place where he disposed of her head.

Aftab Amin Poonawala killed his live-in partner on May 18 and cut her corpse into 35 pieces which he disposed of at various places across the city.

Aftab told the police that he threw the saw and blade used in Shraddha's killing near his office in Gurugram's DLF area. The police searched the area for two days but found nothing. The police will again launch a search operation on Wednesday, taking Aftab with them this time, they added.
