Irked At Daughter's Affair, Haridwar Man Frames Her Boyfriend In Drugs Case

The man was unhappy with his daughter's boyfriend and decided to take some measures to frame him by planting drugs.

Unhappy with his daughter's relationship, a Haridwar father took a drastic step to try and end it.  Anoop Gupta, a “well-established” trader was arrested for ‘orchestrating a conspiracy’ against the boyfriend.

Initially, the Shayampur police arrested Ajay, 20, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) student from Laldhang for possessing drugs and sent him to jail three days ago. When the police investigated further it revealed a conspiracy. The police found CCTV footage which showed Gupta planting cannabis on Ajay’s bike with the help of a local mechanic.

According to The Times Of India, police said Anoop was unhappy with his daughter’s relationship since he belongs to a different caste and has a lower economic background. He offered to send Ajay abroad for his studies and cover all of his expenses but his family declined. Anoop was upset and devised a plan to frame Ajay.

Shyampur Station House Officer (SHO) Nitesh Sharma said, while conducting a routine, they recovered 117 grams of cannabis from Ajay. When he was questioned, he mentioned that it was a conspiracy against him, yet the police sent him to judicial custody.

While inquiring about Ajay’s backstory, the police found the CCTV footage of the incident and they arrested Anoop.

In another case, a man arrested by the Delhi Police for the murder of his 21-year-old daughter has confessed to killing her because she wished to marry her boyfriend, who belonged to a different caste.

Nand Kishore, a resident of the Prem Nagar area in the northwest region of the capital, was arrested. During interrogation in custody, he admitted to killing his daughter, stating that they often argued because she wanted to marry someone of her choice. The woman had been in a relationship with her boyfriend for almost two years.

However, her father disapproved of the relationship because the man was from a different caste. Nand Kishore wanted her to marry someone else, but she rejected the proposal, leading to frequent arguments between them.

The police discovered a woman soaked in blood, lying on a field in the Kanjhawala area of Rohini. Her body had multiple slashes. The police rushed her to the hospital where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
