UP Weather: Monsoon To Gain Momentum From Tomorrow, These Places To See Heavy Rain

Heavy rain is likely to lash most regions, and this spell is expected to continue till July 29. The IMD has also issued lightning warnings for multiple areas.

Weather conditions across Uttar Pradesh remain unpredictable, with some districts experiencing heavy rainfall while others continue to suffer from sweltering heat and humidity due to clear skies.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall today (July 24) in districts like Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, and Chandauli. Light showers are expected in other parts of the state.

According to the IMD, both eastern and western parts of the state will receive rain today. While western UP is likely to see scattered thunderstorms and light showers, with warnings of lightning in some areas, eastern UP could experience more widespread rainfall.

Monsoon To Gain Momentum From July 25

Rainfall is expected to intensify across the state from Friday, July 25. Heavy rain is likely to lash most regions, and this spell is expected to continue till July 29. The IMD has also issued lightning warnings for multiple areas during this period. A drop in temperature is expected as a result of the rain.

Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, and Chandauli are expected to receive heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning. Meanwhile, districts including Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Mau, Gorakhpur, Basti, and Sant Kabir Nagar may see rain at several places, but no official warnings have been issued there.

In Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, rain accompanied by lightning is expected at various locations.

Light Rain Forecast In These UP Districts

In Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Moradabad, Bijnor, Rampur, and Bareilly, light showers may occur at one or two places.

Similarly, Pilibhit, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Amethi, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Banda, Raebareli, Lucknow, Unnao, Kannauj, Auraiya, Kanpur, Jalaun, Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, and Lalitpur may also receive brief showers, though no warnings have been issued in these areas.
