Tension Grips Hyderabad’s Tappachabutra After Meat Found Near Linga Inside Hanuman Temple — Video

Hyderabad’s Tappachabutra area was gripped by tension on Wednesday after pieces of meat were discovered inside Jirra Hanuman Temple. When the temple priest came to the temple on Wednesday morning, he found the meat placed behind Shiva Linga. The incident soon sparked outrage among devotees and local communities. 

As news of the incident spread, large crowds, including members of Hindu groups and BJP workers, gathered at the temple to protest the alleged desecration. Reacting to the incident, BJP MLA Raja Singh said, "Yesterday evening some people entered the Hanuman temple and threw pieces of cow on the Linga of Lord Shankar and in the Hanuman temple." 

On pieces of meat found in a temple premises under Tappachabutra Police Station limits, DCP South East, Chandra Mohan told ANI, "It is not confirmed yet how it happened as it could have been brought by an animal or a person with unsound mind...We have formed four special teams to probe the matter. Case registered."

Police swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits. Security was tightened in the area to prevent any escalation of tensions. Shops in the vicinity remained closed as a precautionary measure amid the protests and gatherings.

The investigations are ongoing to find those involved in the incident. 

This incident comes amid a series of attacks on temples in Hyderabad which have raised concerns among the local community and led to protests.
