Shiv Sena Leader Chased On Bike, Shot Dead In Punjab's Moga; Minor Boy Injured In Firing
The Shiv Sena leader was shot dead by three unidentified assailants on Thursday night in Punjab' Moga district. Moga Police have registered an FIR against six persons.

A Shiv Sena leader, Mangat Rai Manga, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Moga district. The incident is said to have occurred on Thursday night when the outfit's district unit president was buying milk. A 12-year-old boy was also injured in the attack. Police have registered an FIR against six persons.
Three unknown persons fired at him at around 10:00 PM, but the bullet missed Manga and hit the 12-year-old boy, police told news agency PTI, adding that the leader immediately fled the area on a two-wheeler.
However, he was chased by the assailants, who fired at Manga again during the chase. They fled the spot after the bullet hit him.

According to a police official, Manga was rushed to a hospital by police where the doctors declared him 'brought dead'. The injured child was initially admitted to the Moga Civil Hospital, but was later referred to another hospital for better treatment, PTI reported.
Right-wing group Vishwa Hindu Shakti's national president Joginder Sharma said, "We got to know that some miscreants shot Manga dead. As soon as we got the information, we reached the hospital."
Police said they are verifying which Shiv Sena outfit Manga was associated with.
On the killing of the Shiv Sena leader in the district, Moga SP Bal Krishna Singla said: "Three assailants came on bike and fired upon Shiv Sena leader Mangat Rai Manga. Besides, a 12-year-old child and a saloon owner have been injured in the incident. The two are admitted to hospital but are out of danger now. We have registered FIR against six persons."
