Salman Khan's lookalike Azam Ansari has been arrested in Lucknow yet again for causing a traffic jam and public disturbance.

Azam Ansari was taken into custody by the Thakurganj police on charges of obstructing public movement and engaging in disorderly conduct. He was reportedly carrying a gun while recording a reel when the police arrested him from Thakurganj in the UP capital.

A video has surfaced showing the Lucknow Police entering an eatery even as people could be seen fleeing from the place. Shortly after, the cops could be seen taking Salman Khan's lookalike into custody.

Police officials said Azam Ansari frequently creates videos imitating the Bollywood star and posts them on social media, amassing a significant following.

Ansari has been popular on social media for his reels impersonating Salman Khan and recreating clips from the Bollywood superstar's movies.

Shortly after he was taken into custody, he also posted videos of his arrest on Instagram, where he was seen sitting inside the police vehicle.

The latest incident of his arrest involved Ansari brandishing a licensed revolver while recording a video. He was seen posing shirtless with a pistol tucked into his waistband, an act that reportedly led to public outrage.

Following the complaint, the police seized the weapon and initiated legal proceedings.

Azam Ansari, reacting to his arrest, said he was arrested by Thakurganj Police while he had gone out to have tea.

"I had come here to drink tea and the Thakurganj Police have arrested me. They had taken my (gun's) license. I will not go back without my license," Ansari said to which the police responded by saying, "Your license is not renewed since 2022. You cannot carry (arms) without license."
