Saif Ali Khan Undergoes Surgery After Attack, Lilavati Doctor Reveals Details
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times, two deeply, during an attempted burglary, said Lilavati Hospital.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan suffered six stabs with two of them being deep wounds said a statement by Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital where the Bollywood actor is still undergoing surgery.
Of the six wounds one was "close" to spine, said Chief Operating Officer at Lilavati Hospital, Dr Niraj Uttamani.
"Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home and was brought in at 3.30 am," Uttamani said. "Saif has six stabs and two are deep. Of this one is close to spine. He is being operated upon by team of doctors led Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain, and anaesthetiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi," he added.
The Bollywood celebrity was injured after an inturder attacked him with a knife at his residence in upscale Bandra area in the wee hours of Thursday. According to an official statement by Khan's team, the actor was injured during an "attempted burglary".

The knife pierced his spine and he was taken to hospital with the weapon lodged inside his vital organ. Fortunately, the stabbing did not result in any paralysis, as per ABP News sources.
Khan's neurosurgery has been completed and teh object was taken out and he was undergoing cosmetic surgery at the time of writing this report.
According to cops, the preliminary theory suggests the assailant might have come to meet the maid where some altercation between the two happened. The intruder tried to attack the maid and Saif tried to intervene and got injured.
As per the police, the maid might have allowed the intruder inside the house as there were no signs of forced entry.
The police have already begun the probe and made seven teams to investigate the matter. Three people have been detained by the police for questioning including driver and house help.
