Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30 AM. A burglar reportedly entered the actor's home, and during the confrontation, the thief attacked Saif, leaving him injured. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on Thursday. Saif is currently receiving treatment at the Lilavati Hospital. The police have now issued a statement detailing the situation.
What Mumbai Police Said About The Attack On Saif Ali Khan
According to Mumbai Police, the burglar entered Saif Ali Khan's residence late last night and was spotted by the staffers. He got into an argument with the household staff, and when the actor intervened in an attempt to calm the situation, the assailant attacked him, injuring him in the process. The police are investigating the matter.
Mumbai Police’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed that an unknown person had entered the actor's home. A scuffle broke out between Saif Ali Khan and the intruder, during which the actor was injured. He is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Mumbai Police Crime Branch personnel are at the Bandra residence of Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan to find the pathway that the burglar might have taken. Kareena Kapoor Khan was present at the Sadguru Sharan apartment at the time of the attack.

Three Detained In Saif Ali Khan Attack Case
The police have detained three persons who are part of Saif Ali Khan's household staff. After taking all three into custody, the police took them to the police station for questioning.
Lilavati Hospital Says Saif Undergoing 'Delicate' Surgery
Amid all this, Lilavati Hospital confirmed that Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing a "delicate" surgery due to the nature of the injuries. Saif Ali Khan suffered a 10-centimetre cut on the back of his neck and on his left hand. A sharp weapon entered his back as well, making the injury serious.
