'Potty Kari Hui Hai Yaar': Astrologer's Video Of Filth At Maha Kumbh Sparks Outrage
Nidhi Chaudhary, an astrologer and a Youtuber, has shared a video on social media to express her shock and disgust after finding the river banks littered with waste and human excreta.

The Maha Kumbh, which is seeing an influx of millions of pilgrims, has clocked a new record with over 27.58 crore devotees taking the dip at Sangam in Prayagraj. The world's biggest religious gathering, which is being held after 144 years, has welcomed devotees from across India and abroad.
While the devotees have thronged at the Maha Kumbh for a spiritual experience, a Youtuber has shared a disturbing encounter during her visit to Sangam.
Nidhi Chaudhary, an astrologer and a Youtuber, has shared a video on social media to express her shock and disgust after finding the river banks littered with waste and human excreta.
In the video, Chaudhary expressed her disbelief over the people defiling the site of the sacred bathing ceremony.

"What is this, people have made a complete mess of things. Logon ne potty kari hui hai yaar. (People have relieved themselves here). There are gutka packets, bottles and there are faeces all over the place."
"I am feeling so sad. I feel like crying. How can they relieve themselves here?" she added in the video.
In another video, she also claimed that there was no ride available for the airport and added that the cab drivers were charging exorbitant prices for Kumbh devotees.

"During the (Covid-19) lockdown, the situation was such that the vehicles were unavailable to go home. The situation is the same here. I have been trying since yesterday evening to get a ride, but they are not allowing vehicles to come inside. One has to walk for several kilometres," Chaudhary said.
She also claimed that the taxi drivers are charging Rs 15,000-20,000 for a ride to the airport. After Nidhi Chaudhary highlighted the condition of the river banks in Maha Kumbh Mela, the video sparked outrage online. While several internet users condemned the visitors for their irresponsible behaviour, many others criticised her for sharing the video.
"People also blindly go there without knowing the procedure. We should take bath at home then go there for taking dip and for spiritual activities. But people have forgotten it!" one user said in a post.
However, another user said, "You should be ashamed. This is a mockery of the faith of Hindus."
"When 10 crore people come at a place, situation can’t be as rosy as your sunglass, a few things can go out of order, but instead of praising the good things , all what you doing is present things as totally negative," a user commented.
