As per the proposal, a new 3-kilometre-long connectivity corridor will be developed. The existing 130-meter-wide road from Char Murti Chowk to Sirsa will be extended to meet the 120-meter-wide road. This corridor will help ease traffic congestion and provide better access to the airport via the Yamuna Expressway. Currently, thousands of vehicles use this route daily, a number expected to rise after the airport becomes operational.
Plans are also underway to construct an underpass near Sirsa for crossing the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, as well as a modern rotary at Ghanghola to improve access to industrial sectors Ecotech-9, 10, and 11. The Additional CEO has directed the consultants to prepare designs and begin work without delay.
Key Benefits of the Project:
- Stronger airport connectivity from Noida, Greater Noida, and Greater Noida West
- Improved logistics and worker movement in industrial sectors
- Easier travel to Bulandshahr
- Reduced traffic pressure and alternative route availability
This strategic project will not only enhance connectivity to the upcoming airport but also boost industrial growth and regional integration. With the authority's proactive approach, residents of Greater Noida can look forward to significantly improved transport infrastructure in the near future.
