Senior TMC MLA Nasiruddin Ahmed Dies Of Heart Attack, CM Mamata Banerjee Pays Tribute
TMC leader Nasiruddin Ahmed passed away due to cardiac arrest on Sunday morning.

Senior Trinamool Congress leader and MLA from the Kaliganj constituency in Nadia district, Nasiruddin Ahmed passed away on Sunday after suffering a cardiac arrest, said the party officials.
The TMC leader experienced health complications at his home at around 11:50 pm on Sunday and was rushed to Palasi Hospital, where he passed away during the early hours of Sunday, reported The Times of India, quoting sources.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed grief on Ahmed's demise and remembered him as a veteran public worker and a "trustworthy asset."

"Saddened by the sudden demise of my colleague Nasiruddin Ahmed ( Laal), MLA from Kaliganj, Nadia," said the Bengal CM in a post on X.
"A veteran public worker and political representative, he was our trustworthy asset. He was a lawyer and a very good social worker, and I truly valued him," Mamata said.
"My condolences to his family, friends and followers," she added.
Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, Suvendhu Adhikari also paid tribute. "It's disheartening to learn about the sad and untimely demise of Kaliganj MLA; Janab Nasiruddin Ahmed (Lal)," said the BJP leader in a post on X.

The former lawyer became the MLA for the first time on the TMC ticket in 2011 and was again elected in 2022.
