Spinners, Rohit Sharma Star In India's Final Win
Coming to the Champions Trophy 2025 final, New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss. Powered by half-centuries from Michael Bracewell and Daryl Mitchell, the Kiwis posted 251/7. India’s spin duo, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy, picked up two wickets each to restrict the total.
In reply, India got off to a blazing start thanks to a century stand between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Rohit, who scored a crucial 76 off 83 deliveries in the final, was adjudged Player of the Match.
