Muzaffarpur Bandh: Hindu Organisations Protest Demolition Of Hanuman, Shiva Temples At Railway Junction
Hindu organisations declared a peaceful bandh in Muzaffarpur to protest the demolition of Hanuman and Shiva temples during the renovation of the railway junction.

There has been continuous opposition to the demolition of the Hanuman and Shiva temples located within the Muzaffarpur Railway Junction complex. On Friday, Hindu organisations declared a bandh (strike) in Muzaffarpur. During the bandh, hospitals, schools, and several essential institutions were kept out of the shutdown.
The Muzaffarpur Junction is being renovated under the Amrit Bharat Yojana, and as part of this new construction, the old temples were demolished and removed. Hindu organisations have strongly opposed this and organized the bandh in the city until 12 PM today (Friday). During the bandh, protesters raised slogans and expressed their anger.
Sanjeev Kumar Singh (President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, North Bihar region) stated that the Hindu community had come out in protest against the insult to their self-respect by the government. He further said that playing with Hindu sentiments would not be tolerated. Singht also mentioned that the temples should be rebuilt at the same location within the railway junction complex and handed over to the Hindu community. He added that they are fighting for this cause and will continue their struggle.
SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) Sushil Kumar informed that, in light of the bandh, police personnel were deployed across the city, and orders for videography were also issued.
Senior officers and forces were assigned to the procession, while the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) were stationed at the railway station. The bandh remained peaceful, and there were no reports of violence. All protests were conducted in a peaceful manner, and the police were fully alert to handle any situation.
