Waterline Bursts In Mumbai, BMC Says THESE Areas Will See Supply Disruption
A 1200 mm waterline burst near Amar Mahal Junction in Mumbai. A nearby 1800 mm main has been temporarily shut down for repair.

Following the recent water crisis in Mumbai, a 1200 mm waterline pipe burst on Saturday due to ongoing Metro construction work near Amar Mahal Junction.
Several people have taken to social media to voice their concern over the water waste.
According to the Free Press Journal, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is on urgent repair work due to which the adjoining 1800 mm major water main at the same location with be shut down on a temporary basis.
Because of this, a shutdown of the water supply is expected across several major areas in the city and eastern suburbs. Affected localities include Chembur, Shivaji Nagar, Mankhurd, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Sion, Wadala, and Parel.

A senior civic official confirmed that the water supply in certain regions will remain suspended for the next 24 hours, according to FJP.
BMC authorities have assured that the supply will be restored gradually in phases once the repair work is completed and further urged residents to use water wisely.

These Areas Will See A Water Shut Down
Some of the locations include: Chembur Camp, Union Park, Lalwadi, Maitri Park, Atur Park, Suman Nagar, Saibaba Nagar, Shyamjivi Nagar, Ghatla, Amar Nagar, Motibagh, Khardev Nagar, Poster Colony, S.T. Road, C.G. Gidwani Road. In the Govandi - M-East Ward, – Ahilyabai Holkar Marg, Rafique Nagar, Baba Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Nirankar Nagar, 90 Feet Road Sectors 13, 14, 15; Mandala, 20 ft & 30 ft Roads, Ekta Nagar, MHADA Buildings; Kamalraman Nagar, Bainganwadi Road 10–13, Adarsh Nagar; Raman Mama Nagar, Shivaji Nagar Roads 06–10, Shastri Nagar, Church Road etc.
In Ghatkopar-N - N ward the entire eastern part of Ghatkopar East, including Rajawadi East, Chittaranjan Nagar, Vidyavihar area, Rajawadi Hospital, M.G. Road, Pantnagar, New Pantnagar, Vikrant Circle, Patel Chowk, Ambedkar Circle, 90 Feet Road.
F-North Ward – Sion and Wadala Dadar (East), Matunga (East), Wadala, Chunabhatti area, Pratiksha Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Almada Compound, Panchsheel Nagar, Wadala Truck Terminal, Lodha Buildings (New Kuff Parade), Sion Koliwada-Sardar Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, K.D. Gaykwad Nagar, Korbi Mithagar, will see a water shutdown. In the F-South Ward – Hospital and Surrounding Areas, people will see a partial water shutdown.
