Security has been heightened at Aurangzeb’s tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, with SRPF and local police deployed.

Security has been tightened around Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's tomb in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar as Hindu organisations have staged a protest demanding its removal.
The protest is being organised by various Hindu groups, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, who are planning to submit memorandums to local authorities. The political debate surrounding the tomb has gained momentum, with political leaders calling for its removal, especially during significant events like Shivaji Jayanti.

Bajrang Dal member Nitin Mahajan questioned why the Mughal emperor's grave was being worshipped in Sambhaji Nagar.
"In Sambhajinagar, Aurangzeb's grave is being worshipped. The grave of Sambhaji’s murderer is being built… When such graves are worshipped, then the society also develops in that manner… At that time, we were helpless, but now Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal are demanding that it should be removed," Mahajan said.
Shiv Sena Backs Hindu Outfits' Demand
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam also backed the demand for the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb. He said, "Today, when there is a debate going on in the country on Aurangzeb’s deeds, such a demand is not unreasonable."
He added that Aurangzeb's grave has no meaning in Maharashtra, especially in a district named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. "His grave should be removed from Khuldabad… We expect the Maharashtra government to take a step in this direction as soon as possible," he added.
Want To Make India A 'Hindu Rashtra': BJP MLA T Raja

He said he now has only one resolve- to make India a 'Hindu Rashtra' and remove Aurangzeb's grave.
