2 Injured After High-Speed SUV Rams Scooty In Lucknow, Drags It For Several Kilometers

A video captured by an eyewitness showed the SUV speeding away, with sparks flying from the vehicle.

In a case of rash driving from Uttar Pradesh, two people have been injured after an SUV driving at a high speed knocked down a scooty and allegedly dragged it for several kilometres.

The horrific incident took place near Lulu Mall in Lucknow and was captured by a commuter on his smartphone.

The incident unfolded when the SUV, driven at high speed by an engineer, rammed into a scooty carrying two siblings. Due to the impact, the two siblings flung off their vehicle even as the scooty got stuck under the SUV and was dragged for several kilometres.

A video captured by an eyewitness showed the SUV speeding away, with sparks flying from the vehicle. 

Despite the scooty stuck beneath the car, the driver did not stop. The video of the incident has now gone viral on social media, drawing criticism.

Following the incident, the Lucknow Police launched an investigation and arrested the SUV owner, identified as engineer Brijesh Singh. 

The incident took place in the Sushant Golf City police station area and authorities are now probing the circumstances surrounding the reckless act.

The case has sparked concerns over road safety and reckless driving in the city.
