Kerala Man Hacks Wife & Her Friend To Death, 'Suspected Infidelity'

Suspecting an illicit relationship between his wife and her friend, a 32-year-old man from Kerala's Kalanjoor village allegedly killed both of them, police officials on Monday said, as reported by news agency PTI.

As per the details, the victims have been identified as Vaishnavi (27) and Vishnu (30). The police said that the accused, Baiju, allegedly chased Vaishnavi to Vishnu's residence in Kalanjoor, where he hacked her to death using a sharp-edged weapon. The incident took place at around 11 PM on Sunday.

Vaishnavi had allegedly run out of her house and sought refuge in Vishnu's home following a domestic dispute. Baiju, after attacking Vaishnavi, also hacked Vishnu, who succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital.

The police said that Baiju has been taken into custody. Mathrubhumi reported that after carrying out the attack, Baiju himself called his friends and told them about it. The friends informed the police and he was subsequently taken into police custody.

Man killed six people in Thiruvananthapuram

Last month, a 23-year-old man in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram walked into a police station and alleged that he killed six people, including his mother, brother and girlfriend. The man also claimed to have consumed rat poison to end his life and is under medical observation.

As per the information, the man committed the crime between 10 AM and 6 PM on February 24. It was later found that his mother did not die but was seriously injured. She was admitted to the hospital where she was critical. He allegedly killed his girlfriend, 13-year-old brother, paternal grandmother, father's elder brother and his wife.

The man reportedly told police that his NRI father's business was in a deep financial crisis so he decided to kill the family members and end his life.
