Row Erupts Over Demolition Of Hanuman Temple Wall At Katni Railway Station In MP
This follows prior tensions where Hindu groups faced police action, including a lathi charge, during a previous demolition attempt, injuring Bajrang Dal and VHP members.

A controversy has erupted in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, after a wall of the Hanuman temple located within the main railway station premises was reportedly demolished late on the night of June 20–21. It remains unclear whether the demolition was carried out by railway authorities or some other group.
Photos of the broken temple wall quickly surfaced on social media, leading to unrest near the station as locals gathered in protest.
Sources indicate that this isn't the first time tensions have flared over the temple.
During a previous attempt to dismantle the wall, Hindu organisations reportedly faced police action. The GRP and RPF allegedly resorted to a lathi charge, resulting in injuries to several members of the Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad.
