JD(U) MP Faints At Badminton Court During CM Nitish Kumar's Event In Bihar's Bhagalpur

JD(U) MP Ajay Kumar had gone to Bihar's Bhagalpur to attend an event where CM Nitish Kumar was honouring players when he fainted at a badminton court.

Janata Dal (United) MP Ajay Kumar on Tuesday fainted at the badminton court during an event in Bihar's Bhagalpur. The MP had gone to attend an event where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was honoring players.

He was immediately provided first aid on-site after he fainted. He was later taken to a hospital for further medical attention. The reason behind why he fainted on the court remains unknown.

A video shared by news agency IANS showed Kumar being shifted to the hospital on a stretcher. 

Earlier, CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary arrived for the final of a badminton championship, which was organised under the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, Lokmat Times reported. 

He also laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 210 crore. The Bihar CM also interacted with the beneficiaris at a special service camp organised in Mukheria village under Dr. Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan.

Nitish Kumar Chairs Security Review In Purnea

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday held a high-level security review meeting in the wake of tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor. The meeting was held at the Mahananda Auditorium in the Purnea Collectorate.

The review meeting was focused on strengthening security and vigilance across Bihar's sensitive border districts. The presentation covered preparations in districts bordering Nepal and close to Bangladesh, including Purnea, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, and Supaul.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, presented a detailed security briefing to the CM. He emphasised that security has been tightened at key installations and religious sites, while surveillance along the India-Nepal international border has been stepped up.
