Himachal Pradesh Weather: Hill State To Witness Thunderstorm, Lightning With Strong Hinds From Tomorrow | Check Forecast

The weather body has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh. Light rainfall is predicted at many places on May 3 and 4.

The local meteorological station has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh. The weather body has forecast lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 40-50 kilometres per hour at isolated places in all the 12 districts of the state on May 1-3.

A yellow alert was also issued by the MeT office at isolated places in Una and Kullu districts on April 30. Further, it has predicted light rainfall at many places on May 3 and May 4, as a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from May 2.

According to the weather body, the maximum temperatures are likely to rise by 2-3 degrees during the next 24 hours, while the minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2-5 degrees in the subsequent 4-5 days.

Rain, Thunderstorms Expected In Delhi Soon

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that Delhi may have a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery developments towards the evening till Wednesday, while thunderstorms with rain are forecast for Thursday and Friday, which may help bring a slight dip in temperatures. A marginal drop in temperature is expected in the coming days, with winds of 15-20 km/h likely during the day, the IMD has forecast.

The weather body has also issued a yellow alert for the national capital for Friday and Saturday.

“We had clear skies over the last few days, which made the days warmer and subsequently caused night-time temperatures to rise as well. However, cloudiness, particularly during the night, and a return of moisture-laden easterly winds will lead to a drop in maximum temperatures by 1-2 degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.
