Delhi Assembly’s First Session Begins Feb 24, CAG Reports On AAP Government To Be Tabled
Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report on the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's performance will be tabled during the first session of Delhi Assembly.

The newly constituted Delhi Assembly is set to begin its first session on Monday. The session will be held on February 24, 25, and 27, with 14 pending Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) reports on the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's performance will be tabled.
According to PTI, newly elected MLAs will take the oath on February 24-25. After a Shiv Ratri break on February 26, the BJP government will table the CAG reports.
During AAP’s rule in Delhi, the BJP had approached the court to direct the government to table the CAG reports. BJP accused the AAP government of stalling the report to hide its "corruption".
This comes after newly sworn-in Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Thursday, that 14 pending reports from the CAG, allegedly withheld by the previous AAP government, will be tabled in the first session under the new BJP-led administration.
During a press conference, the Delhi CM also announced that her government will implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme with Rs 5 lakh top-up.
She was quoted by ANI, “In the first Cabinet meeting, we discussed and passed two agendas - to implement in Delhi the Ayushman Bharat scheme with Rs 5 lakhs top up and tabling of 14 CAG reports in the first seating of the Assembly. We will fulfil all the commitments that we have made to the people.”
Responding to AAP leader and former Chief Minister Atishi’s remark that the BJP had promised to approve the Rs 2,500 monthly scheme for women in its first cabinet meeting, the Delhi CM Rekha Gupta stated that the BJP government will set its ‘own’ agenda.
"It's our government; the agenda will be ours. Let us work. She doesn't need to tell us everything; she has done what she has to while in power," she said, as per ANI.
The CAG report has exposed significant irregularities in the planning, tendering, and execution of renovation work at the Delhi Chief Minister's residence, 6 Flag Staff Road. Originally sanctioned at Rs 7.61 crore in 2020, the project's cost surged to Rs 33.66 crore by April 2022—a 342% increase from the initial estimate.
